Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Reston, VA Crawlspace Upgrade

This Reston, VA home was suffering from cold floors and an unpleasant draft on the first floor.  The homeowners were worried about mold growing in their crawlspace.  After completing a free home inspection, our Sales Pro Tim explained to the homeowners that the primary cause of their discomfort was ineffective insulation and lack of waterproofing in the crawlspace. He determined that the best course of action would be to replace all of the low-quality insulation in the crawlspace with the CleanSpace waterproofing and insulation system. Our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by removing and disposing of all the old insulation. Then they began to lay down the TerraBlock floor insulation and the CleanSpace covering to bother waterproof and insulate the floor. After that, they Installed the SilverGlo rigid foam insulation on the walls and sealed the gaps with ZypFoam air sealant. Finally, the crew applied spray foam insulation to the rim joists and installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier as the final layer of water protection.  This will all help to improve the health and air quality in the home, make the floors more comfortable and reduce the cost to heat and cool the home.
