How to Maintain a Sanidry Dehumidifier in Leesburg, VA
Challenge
A dehumidifier was required to keep the crawl space dry throughout the year. Dust and other airborne contaminants collected on condensing coils of dehumidifier reducing the efficiency of the unit. The "Pre-filer" also got clogged with these same contaminants. Customer requested annual maintenance service.
Solution
3 Pros Basement Systems dispatched a trained service technician to perform an annual service maintenance on the equipment.
The pre-filer was removed and replaced with a clean filter. The condensing coils of the unit were vacuum cleaned and then a chemical "Coil Cleaning" agent was applied to further clean this section of the machine to allow it to perform as if it were newly installed. The technician upgraded an electrical component on this particular unit as part of this service call. Lastly, the drain line for the unit was checked and cleaned assuring that the output from the dehumidifier could drain freely from the machine.
The last part of the service included re-assembly of the device, and then testing the "Depression" (the relative humidity of the input in comparison to the relative humidity of the output of the machine). Assuring that the machine was functioning as designed and achieving the goal of the customer.
