FlexiSpan in Purcellville, VA
Challenge
A homeowner living in Purcellville, VA was in need of some help. With a large crack running down one of their basement walls, this homeowner needed a way to seal this crack, as water was already seeping through. After a quick internet search, they found 3 Pros Basement Systems. They gave us a call and we got to work on solving this homeowners’ problem.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on the basement wall. To protect this basement against leaking moisture, a FlexiSpan seal was to be put in place along the crack. FlexiSpan crack repair is actually a three-part process that begins with the application of a flexible sealant along the full length of the crack. Next, a strip of flexible and porous foam is installed over the crack. Finally, an impermeable membrane is adhered to the wall on both sides of the foam strip. This fail-safe treatment allows any future seepage of water through the crack to move invisibly down the wall and into the basement’s perimeter drainage system.
With their new seal in place, this homeowner no longer has to worry about any moisture damage occurring in their basement. The FlexiSpan seal will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
