The problem
This is a photo of the problem! You can see here the mold and mildew crawling up the wall. This will be treated with MoldX and no longer be an issue.
The first step
Now it is time to start fixing the problem! The first step is to jackhammer into the floor around the perimeter of the infected area. This is to create space for the WaterGuard drainage system which will be laid in the floor.

After jackhammering the perimeter, we have to remove all of the loose gravel.

Making more space
What we are looking at here in the round jackhammered area, is space for the sump pump. This basement did not already have a sump pump, so we had to create space, if you already have one, we might be able to keep the existing pump, or install a new one in the same place.

All of the gravel is out, all we need is a broom and a shop vac and we are ready to go!
Layering the WaterGuard
This grey plastic tube like system is the WaterGuard drainage system. This will collect anywater that comes through foundation, walls, windows, or even doors. Once the water finds its way to the WaterGuard, it will be directed to the sump pump.
More WaterGuard
TripleSafe sump pump
What we are looking at here is the TripleSafe Sump Pump which we installed in the depression we created earlier. This sump pump has three lines of defense, on the off chance that the first two pumps fail, the third one will pick up the slack! This responsive sump pump will push all of the water collected by the waterproofing system out and away from your home.
SilverGlo
The silver shiny stuff lining the walls is SilverGlo. This insulating product will act as a thermal barrier between your home and the outside world. The silvery nature of the product comes from a graphite infusion that will increase the the degree of insulation by approximately 24%.
