Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation Reston VA

This Reston VA crawl space was musty, wet and cold. The homeowner was dealing with cold floors and high energy bills which they wanted to change so they called us. Our Home Performance Sales pro Pedro went out to visit and perform a whole home inspection. He identified a need to remove and replace the existing insulation in the crawl space as well as removing the old layer of plastic covering the dirt floors. Our production team installed Terra Block matting to allow the dirt floors to breath and let moisture evaporate which they then covered with a layer of Clean Space to seal in the moisture and musty smells while giving the crawl space a clean, durable surface.

This old insulation was not working because the crawl space was vented, allowing outside air and temperatures to come in.

This Terra Block allows air to pass below along the dirt floors of the crawl space. Once covered by the Clean Space material it will seal off the space and create a durable cover of the floors.
