Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Reston VA Wet Crawl Space Solution with Insulation

This Reston VA basement had excessive moisture and humidity that was impacting the air in the rooms of the home above.  A musty smell was noticed by the home owner and they were having concerns around their floors being cold in the winter.  Our Home Performance Sales pro came out to do a no cost whole home inspection and determined that the best solution would be to install our Clean Space treatment to cover the floors and walls of the crawl space along with applying spray foam to insulate the ducts and rim joists. The vents of the crawl space were sealed up to prevent external air from coming into the home and Clean Space was used to cover the floors and foundation supports for the home.  Clean Space would serve to keep any existing moisture below and create a clear, usable space if the homeowner wanted to use the crawl space for storage.  Making the crawl space a controlled environment would help to improve the air quality in the home and reduce the cost to heat and cool it.
