One of our plumbing company referral businesses called us to see if we could help a client of theirs who was experiences unwanted water coming through the stone basement walls and foundation of this Marshall VA home. Our Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro went to meet the home owner and did a whole home inspection to find the right solutions to help. Pedro advised that they have a Water Guard system installed below the floor at the base of the foundation walls. This would help to collect the unwanted water and send it to the sump pump to be discharged out of the home. Wally material would then be installed on the walls to collect any additional water and moisture to be sent to the Water Guard below. Our production crew used jack hammers to break the floors and create a channel for the Water Guard and then finished it off by covering it with a layer of cement to level the floors back out and make them look like normal. This will all help to keep the basement dry and have less moisture in the air for years to come.
