Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: A Crawl Space Encapsulation To Keep Mice OUT!

A home in Middleburg, VA was facing issues with unwanted "guests" in their crawl space. A mice infestation was apparent, but it seemed this wasn't the root of the problem. The homeowner also complained of uncomfortable humidity and extreme temperatures in the rooms above and surrounding the crawl space.  The first thing we needed to do was remove the moldy, damaged insulation from the crawl space that was likely making an excellent home for rodents. Next, we installed our CleanSpace encapsulation system, as well as Terra Block with drainage matting to cover the previously bare concrete floor. We then spray foam insulation to seal the rim joists to ensure no more unwanted critters could get in and to properly condition the space to prevent humidity and temperature discrepancies.
