Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: McLean, VA Crawlspace Transformation

This McLean, VA home was suffering from a high risk of water damage, mold growth, and a musty odor that was permeating the home. This was having a serious negative impact on the comfort level of the home. When our sales professional Pedro went out to the property to perform a full home inspection, he determined that the best course of action to end their discomfort would be to waterproof the primary areas of concern namely the crawlspace. Pedro explained to the homeowners that the primary cause of their discomfort was the lack of waterproofing within the crawlspace. After the homeowners agreed to Pedro's solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by removing the old fiberglass insulation in the crawlspace ceiling. Then they removed the old torn-up plastic that served as the only form of waterproofing in the crawlspace. After that, they installed TerraBlock floor insulation to the ground and covered it and the walls with CleanSpace covering to maximize the waterproofing. Finally, the crew added a layer of spray foam insulation to the walls to both keep the CleanSpace covering in place and add an additional layer of insulation to keep the home more comfortable.  A dry crawl space, improved air quality in the living space above and reduced energy costs will be the results of this project.
