Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Alexandria, VA Crawlspace Insulation and Floor Covering

This Alexandria, VA home had an unpleasant, musty odor coming into the home.  The homeowners called us to see if we could help.  Our sales professional Stephen visited to perform a full home inspection and find the best options to solve the problem. After completing the inspection he was able to show the homeowners that the the odor was the result of moisture build-up and mildew in their crawl space. He determined that the best course of action would be to install CleanSpace waterproofing and insulation system within the crawlspace to reduce any further water damage, mildew or possible mold growth. After the homeowners agreed to Stephen’s solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crew started by removing and disposing of the existing insulation in the crawlspace. They installed SilverGlo rigid foam insulation boards on the walls,  TerraBlock floor covering that would act as a puncture-proof barrier that couldn’t be damaged by water and also discouraged the growth of mold, mildew, and rot. Finally, the crew installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier as the final layer of water protection within the crawlspace.  The air quality in the home will be improved and the moisture/water in the crawl space will now be controlled.
