  The owners of this Purcellville, VA home were worried that the current waterproofing system in their crawlspace was failing to protect their property. This came about when they noticed a musty odor that seemed to be coming from the entrance of the crawlspace. After completing the inspection Eric explained to the homeowners that the biggest point of concern was moisture build-up and mold growth that occurred due to a failure of their current crawlspace waterproofing. After the homeowners agreed to Eric’s solution one of our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crew started by removing and disposing of the existing insulation in the crawlspace. Then they installed SilverGlo rigid foam insulation boards on the walls as both a protective layer and to keep the crawlspace from affecting the temperature of the rest of the home. After that, they rolled out the TerraBlock floor insulation that was both a water-resistant puncture-proof barrier and also a deterrent to the growth of mold, mildew, and rot. Finally, the crew installed CleanSpace cover panels and the CleanSpace vapor barrier as the final layers of water protection within the crawlspace.
