Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Alexandria VA Crawl Space Waterproofing

This home in Alexandria VA had a wet crawl space. Many homes in the Alexandria VA area have similar issues due to age and proximity to the river and waterfront. This home owner called us asking for help to identify a solution that would reduce the water in the crawl space and help to eliminate the musty odors and stale smelling air coming into the home above. After a free home inspection our Sales Pro determined that a Smart Pipe water management pipe system would be needed to help deliver water to a newly installed Smart Sump sump pump which would then discharge the water out into the yard via a drain pipe. The walls in the crawl space would be covered with SilverGlo insulation panels and the floor of the crawl space would be covered with TerraBlock matting and CleanSpace covering. This would all help to control the water in the crawl space, reduce the humidity and moisture in the air, seal off the space from outside air and allergens and keep the whole space conditioned.

SilverGlo insulation panels have been installed to cover the walls and TerraBlock matting has been laid on the dirt floor to manage the moisture and air flow inside of the crawl space,
