Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Herndon VA Crawlspace Encapsulation with Spray Foam and Clean Space

This Herndon VA home had issues with pests making their way into the home via the crawl space.  After having a pest control inspection the homeowner was advised that they needed more than just pest control, but instead needed to close off the crawl space to eliminate entry from outside.  Our Sales Professional Carl was able to recommend a plan of products and services that would help seal up the crawl space, insulate it from external temperatures, improve the air quality in the home above and reduce energy costs in the process.  Removing all of the existing insulation and materials in the crawl space was the first step.  The space was then sprayed with MoldX2 Botanical spray and cleaner to help sanitize and reduce the potential for mold.  TerraBlock matting was then laid across the dirt floors to create a vapor barrier which will allow air to move across the dirt surface but keep any moisture from getting into the air of the crawl space.  CleanSpace was then used to cover the surface of the crawl space and ran up the walls to operate as a wetness control to keep any external water below the surface.  Once the CleanSpace was installed, several walls had additional coverage with spray foam insulation used to insulate and seal up the space.
