This Arlington VA home had issues with unwanted basement water. The brick and concrete foundation was allowing external water to enter the home and collect in the basement. In addition to an inside basement waterproofing system, we helped address the source of the foundation water. With numerous rain gutter down spots that were just dumping water at the base of the outside walls, there was build up of water around the house. Water follows the path of least resistance and was naturally working into the ground and towards the home. Our team installed a new sump pump with discharge line and connected several of the rain gutter down spots to discharge lines that would be buried and directed away from the home. This would push the collected rain water away from the home and keep it from leaking back into the basement.

This down spout used to just dump water right at the foundation walls of this home. Now it will be controlled and sent away into the yard.
